MYP’s courses is not as hard as you’ve imagined. Actually, it is quite simple and easily handled. However, if you don’t have the following habits or actions, higher grades may be difficult for you to achieve. So this article is going to give some tips for MYPers who are going to enter to the higher grades.
DON’T BE SO NERVOUS
You will face harder pressure when you enter higher grades. In other words, it is impossible to expect a relaxing studying environment; moreover, you need to be prepared, both physically and mentally, for a harsher environment. Nevertheless, you don’t need to be nervous because if you find the new curriculum is hard, the rest of your classmates will also feel so; as a result, keeping a balanced and placid state of mind is very crucial for MYP higher grades.
DO YOUR WORK PLEASE

Typically, nobody will achieve something unless he/she endeavors to do so. The huge difference is not about your IQ but the time that you spend on your work. It is true that some people spend a tiny amount of time and gain a great score. And maybe, you need to spend more than twice times in order to get the same score. It is because the ability of knowledge comprehension between you and others is different. Therefore, you don’t need to be jealous about what they spend and what they gain. All you need is to do your work and stop being a slacker.
LEAVE YOURSELF A HAPPY HOUR
It is horrible if you study all days and never go outside for fun. As a high grader, you need to be more responsible for you study, but you also need to be clever about arranging your time. Watching a movie, visiting a museum, playing some games or going to a concert. You need to diversify your life.
REMEMBER VOCABULARY AND READ BOOKS
Please don’t be so lazy for not remembering any vocabulary and not reading any books because these are two of the best ways that can help you to improve your English skill in a rapid speed. In MYP, you need your English skill for everything. Meanwhile, if you want to an oversea high school, it is required to have a language test score, such as IELTS and TOEFL, and some oversea exams’ score, such as SSAT. Hence, having an immense range of English vocabulary and a good reading quality will help you to get a better score for these exams.
Overall, these are some tips that I can give you to safely pass upper grades in MYP; however, it won’t to be perfect for anybody. It is better to find your own way to handle your difficulties that you encounter. Lastly, I wish you a late happy new year and good luck.
